Gregar pauses briefly, articulating his response, “I guess what I have against the Vizierate is that it is unsettling when a bunch of mysterious people, usually associated with the heights of power, take a personal interest in your life and start asking questions about things that you might not want publicly known. 

“As to what you might do to the ship, I don’t know, upload a virus that would let you disable the systems remotely, or record all the internal comms?”  

On the plus-side, Diplomacy is a Hard Skill because if you fail it things don’t tend to go badly, they just don’t go well.

    Oliver smiles at the statement and its relevance to his own personal situation. “Yeah, they do tend to do that. Not a practice I’m a fan of, one I’m familiar with though.”

    “I probably could do that, it would take time though. However I have no interest in what the crew does outside of their relevance to me, unless they want to include me for personal reasons. I focus on my job, and that job is Argyle.”

    He takes a sip of his tea before continuing. “I’m not going to give some speech or assurance that you can trust me and that I can be a friend, because I don’t think that I can change your mind on me or my current employer, nor do I believe I really need to. It’s your ship, I’ll play by your rules. If you don’t want to let me in, I have plenty of other things that can occupy my time.”
