E-374-Oliver: Hopper Grass (Docked in Spanial Cargo Hold)
The disabled sensor logging could conceivably limit some info being available to the pilot if they became lost, but that would be fairly rare.
The most likely issue is that the wrong help info would have been called up, which could be an issue if you’re going through the wrong checklist. Strictly speaking, it’s a content management issue not a software bug, what software there is seems to be working ok based on Oliver’s initial check. It was just being fed the wrong data, perhaps it still is.
Unless he wants to try and obtain some of the extra optional components or a proper manual and help module, his initial investigation is complete. If he wants to dig deeper that’s going to take more time. It’s possible Oliver’s now getting tired – and cold – as it’s well into Red shift.
He hears the airlock annunciator tone – someone has just come into the ship through the main airlock.
Oliver will leave that there, power down the hopper, leave, depressurize the cargo hold, return the boots and the monitor. He’ll head back to the sick bay and send a message to Karmen.
Subject: Shopping List – Hopper
“These items might be useful in fixing/optimising the hoppers functionality.”
And he will list what would be useful and what purpose they would have for the work.
He’ll also mention he’s willing to go get them himself, so long as there’s time.
Then he will go to bed.
