He frowns, “huh.”

He’s quiet for a while.

“Have you given anyone your freedom?”

    She’s silent for a bit. Ipan may think she is focused on flying.

    “Freedom is a funny thing. You crave it when you’re young and resent it when you have it. Freedom can be hard and sometimes, it can be bought. Then again, is that really freedom?”

    Her voice is somewhat detached.

    “I’ve had my freedom taken. And I’ve taken it back.”

    She flicks him a look.

    “And yes, I’ve given it away.”

    She gives a short laugh.

    “I didn’t even realise I was doing it at the time. So easy…to lose something so precious yet so intangible. But once it’s gone…it doesn’t take long for you to realise the value of what you’ve lost.”
