E-201: Merchant Freighter Spanial (Docked at Zarg’s World Highport), Common Room
Interrupting: As Oliver putters around the Galley, he’ll note that as well as some stand-by food packs, there are several loaves of frozen bread and one fresh, a punnet of tomatoes, a lettuce, some fresh onions and a carton of fresh milk. There are several packets of cereal, some smoked meats and fresh eggs.
Oh, there are also baking supplies and other staples of fresh food preparation.
None of these items ever appeared in the Maldemar 732’s galley.
There is also a separate refrigerator labelled Prrri.

There’s a pause before she responds.
“Somewhat frustrating to be honest. But I did have a lovely dinner.”
She will potter around getting her own breakfast.
Oliver wrote:
“Oh wow, food. I haven’t had food in a while…”
He nods. “That’s good to hear. Excited for tonight?”
He still tucks in to his own meal pack.
Lia wrote:
She grins.
“Yeah, Kwint usually stocks up when we’re planetside. Nothing like fresh produce.”
She takes a bowl of cereal and milk to the table.
“You didn’t do that on your ship?”
Lia wrote:
She frowns slightly.
“Survival?”
Oliver wrote:
“Makes sense. Good to be passionate.”
He shakes his head.
“No, we didn’t really do meals, just survival.”
Lia wrote:
She blinks.
“Huh, I was right. You’re very driven.”
She sips her coffee.
“So you’ve been tracking this Argyle guy for a while then?”
Oliver wrote:
“Water, calories, sleep, whatever keeps the mission running. We didn’t waste much time.”
Oliver wrote:
“You could say that, not much else to do on the ship.”
He sips from his coffee as well and selects a bland looking piece of protein to start with for his meal.
“Coming up on 140 cycles since we first met him.”
Lia wrote:
She watches him eat the protein with an eyebrow quirk.
“Don’t you want something more… food like?”
Oliver wrote:
He swallows what he has. “I said I’d feed myself, I haven’t done any work or contributed any money yet so I don’t mind.”
Lia wrote:
Her expression softens.
“What are you doing today?”
Oliver wrote:
“Nothing in particular, got some projects to work on. Karmen invited me to the circus later. What about yourself?”
Lia wrote:
She sits back.
“Let me take you to lunch, my treat. I think you need a day of freedom.”
Oliver wrote:
Oliver takes a moment to mull things over in his head.
“Okay, I think we can do that.”
Lia wrote:
She grins.
“Good. After breakfast I thought I’d show you around the ship, if you’re interested. Might as well familiarise yourself.”
Oliver wrote:
He nods. “Sure. Be better to see it for real rather than in a diagram.”
Lia wrote:
“She’s a great ship. Very versatile.”
Oliver wrote:
“I’m afraid I don’t know too much about them.”
“Neither did I, before I got here. It’s amazing what studying a flight manual can tell you. That and being naturally curious.”
She gives him a cheeky smile.
“I am abundant with curiosity, and the ships manual has been quite intriguing so far.”
She chuckles.
“Well that’s a good start.”
Oliver nods.
After finishing his meal, and Lia finishes hers: “Shall we then?”
She smiles.
“Follow me…”
