Karmen nods and Oliver departs.

He can sit down at the desk and bring up the ship’s documentation on it.

After a brief overview, Oliver will draw the conclusion that the complete manual in full detail is at least a hundred thousand pages long.  It’s organised in many layers of hierarchy with numerous cross-links.  After a lengthy descrption of how the manual is organised he can check out the overview (‘this is a spaceship’) and drill down to an engineering note on how to disassemble and reassemble the height adjustment mechanism of the chair he’s sitting on.
