    She regrets that she didn’t get to say goodbye to the people in her life that she cared about. It bothers her that they probably still care. It bothers her that even after all this time, she also cares.

    Despite those mixed feelings, she does not regret leaving. Her life has taken many turns since she was Eliana and there are some regrets there but she would not take back her choices regarding those pivotal moments.

    She does quietly wish that her relationship with her parents had been different. That ‘maybe’ is buried quite deep but it’s there. She is not so jaded as to never imagine the ‘what if’…
