B-326: Zarg’s World, Downport, Restricted Environ

Sparkling water is brought.

I think whether she uses the loupe really depends more on the effect she’d like to have – your typical customer wouldn’t, but it might have an effect on the sales person’s attitude.  Usage or not won’t affect the result in this case.

They seem to be cool dice rolls, not cinnamon rolls!

The items on this tray are again in a variety of styles, though he has put several pieces together in a group, apparently based on the styles of the pieces Lia chose earlier.

The values are relatively evenly distributed (for both groups) across a range from ʄ2,500 up to about ʄ30,000, with one piece worth about ʄ45,000.   Note that these are Lia’s estimates of value, there are hints on the tray layout that the prices go up as you move from left to right.  Price figures appear on a little screen built into the tray along with a description of the item as Lia hovers her hand near each item.  The numbers that show up tend to be in the general area of Lia’s estimates, about 60% are above and 40% are below.

One piece catches her eye in the group he’s put aside for her, a relative steal in this collection at only ʄ7,500, Lia thinks it would look absolutely superb on her.

Also, that piece in the second row on the end – the main gems are excellent fakes.  The little supporting ones are real and they and the setting is probably worth ʄ1,700, but not the ʄ20,000 it would be worth were they real.

Lia will narrow the selection as before and the assistant may notice she is choosing pieces that will compliment her earlier choices. The piece that is an obvious steal will definitely make it into the final selection.

She will bring out the loupe to study the fakes. What is it priced at?
