We never discussed Lia’s smuggling exploits in detail.

Is that what happened?  How did you imagine that?

    I was wondering if I had this story in my head and had never told you… Just checked Eliana’s character page and it is mentioned if not in detail that Emerald and Raina met through her smuggling enterprise.

    Here’s how it went in my head: Raina’s lieutenant (or some other underling person) heard about Emerald by reputation and after checking her out (!) engaged her to smuggle (unspecified things) for Raina. This had been going on for a while before lieutenant/underling mentioned Emerald to Raina personally; specifically her hotness quotient.

    Raina informed said lieutenant/underling to set up a meeting so she cóuld ‘check her out’ in all senses of the word. This meeting was when Raina asked Emerald out on a date and was rebuffed. When asked for reasons, Lia made the fatal error of mentioning that she didn’t date because it interfered with her work and since she found Raina attractive, this was an added reason to avoid the distraction.

    Naturally Raina then had Emerald investigated and discovered Winta, which was too good an opportunity to pass up. She further uncovered Lia’s identity and whatever else you decide she now knows.

    In my head, she initially engaged Winta through an underling to ensure her initial attendance, only to reveal herself to be the client. Hence the unusual circumstances of their current arrangement. That part is up for debate if it doesn’t suit you!
