B-095: Loyalists’ Rock, Downport Transit Bus

The Senior literally laughs in her face.

“There’s nothing here.”

She stomps of up the aisle to the driver to berate him about a malfunction with the bus’ internal systems that she interfaces with.

When she’s out of earshot the junior says quietly, “Loyalists’ Rock isn’t a big place.  Population’s about thirty-five hundred.  The place you’re picking up your cargo from is part of the hydroponics facility.

“We’re too small to have a Children’s Bureau here, so lots of kids stay with their families.  After the school shift there’s usually something happening at the community centre and most people,” he flicks his eyes at the Senior , “are pretty welcoming of outsiders.”

“There’s a museum dedicated to the events that took place during the Uprising here, worth a look if you’re a history buff.

“Other than that, there’s a hotel in town and the restaurant there does a good Goat Steak.”
