“For sure. ‘You have to collect a bunch of Agricultural Bureau samples from the local researcher. There’s no point tying up a whole starship for such a small job so we’ve jumped in near this planet, you’ll do the collection in the shuttle and catch the ship on the way to the Mainworld.'”
Lia knows the shuttle has three times the acceleration of Spanial so that is quite plausible.
Karmen continues, “There really is a local researcher we were given the name of last time and Kwint really did go and visit him and deliver some samples. He won’t know anything about it this time so if you really have to go see him to protect your story you’ll have to do some head scratching and pretend there’s been a mix up or something.”
She hands Lia a sheet of paper with the Agricultural Bureau logo on it.
“This is the researcher’s address.
“Your main job is to show up and be checked by Legion customs so we leave a trail with a plausible excuse to jump in so far out from the Mainworld that lets us go via a nice big asteroid in orbit 7 and drop off the missiles.”
Lia nods.
“Right and what sort of time frame are we looking at? Do I wait on Zarg’s World for a signal or just do my errand and fly back out to a meeting point?”
