When Lia goes to see Karmen she goes to the large safe in her cabin, opens it with a thumbprint and a keypad combination. She unfolds a small collapsible trolley and with some effort drags a strong box out of the safe and onto it, then closes the door.
Another thumbprint to open the box and she pulls out a hefty bag with Lia’s name on it and hands it to her.
“You first, I guess.”
The bag weighs about 5kg. Inside is a ring, attached to which are six thin flexible metal rods, each with a stack of coins threaded onto it.
