    Lia gives her a long look.

    “If he finds out about my association with Raina…then I become a lot more valuable.”

    She bites her lip.

    “It’s bad enough if it’s just option A. Raina is already breathing down my neck at the thought of Zayaire getting anywhere near me and if she decides to directly interfere, she runs the risk of revealing her link to me…”

    She sighs.

    “But I’m worried that if I remove myself from the equation, Zayaire might ask questions and make things difficult for you. If I’m part of the reason he wants us around…”
