A-278: Spanial, Common Room

Kort says, “As I understand it, the ship doesn’t have to go through a customs check until we reach the planet, yes?”

Karmen says, “It can happen that a Legion ship will stop you at random for a check in space, but that’s most likely, yes.”

He nods thoughtfully, then Lia speaks, “The way I see it, we have achieved at least part of the original team’s mission. The information we found on the wreckage confirms they were sent to interact in some way with the Yarg and to acquire samples of some kind. There are definitely some unusual items that we salvaged that I’m fairly certain whoever sent this mission is going to want to study. Whether that’s a trade or simply returning things they believe are theirs is up for negotiation.”

Karmen nods, “so, less failure but more like heroically salvaging as much of the original mission as possible?”

There’s a pause (during which Lia may wish to respond to Karmen).

Either way Kwint says at some point, “picking up on Kort’s question, the shuttle is faster than Spanial, an advance party could buy us some time before the Legion gets nosy.”

Kort responds, “that’s roughly where I was going, yes.”

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

Lia will smile in response to Karmen’s query.

“You could put it that way. And I suggest we do exactly that. We could have stayed cautious and cut and run as soon as we saw the destroyed ship. We were under no obligation to board or retrieve. In doing so we have brought back things that would otherwise have been destroyed. We risked ship and crew for these people. I say we let them know how far above and beyond we went.”

    After Kwint and Kort speak.

“An advance party to meet with your people and negotiate terms?”
