Rolling Things
I’m a bit confused; I’ve assumed that roll was for the Hull Fragment interaction, but I’m not sure that’s actually correct.

So if you like I’ll take Lia’s IQ roll of 12 vs 13 as assisting Prrri on his IQ Roll, which I’d like you to make for him to see if he can put the clues together to answer her question.

I’m not asking Lia to roll this again as she has already done so (vs Freight Handling in 8-330) leasing to the information/conclusions in (8-331 and 8-332).
Working Out
No, the actual skill is the relevant melee weapons skill, in this case, Lia’s Knife Skill and Evaluate is a combat maneuver. Normally you’d then get a bonus on using Knife Skill to poke it into someone, but as she’s using it in an information gathering capacity I thought she could make an IQ-based roll against that skill to actually see what her Evaluation tells her. ie Her Knife Skill is usually DX+0=11, but in this case she can roll IQ+0=13 as an effective skill target number.
Besides…you get to use pretty dice again…
I just rolled IQ cos you told me to! Happy to use it as Prrri’s roll if it’s useful. Having reviewed those entries – does Prrri think this was some function of a ship or an entity grabbing hold?
Pretty dice! I actually need to sit down and sort through all my pretties to decide which character should play with which sets. Ok, in that case I rolled a 10 for Lia’s assessment of Kort.
