A-248: Spanial

    Lia Day 48

    Jennie

Jennie says, “you were there, we were pressed for time going into jump.
“Besides, if you were looking to jump out to a restricted system, Zarg’s World isn’t the easiest place to do it.  There aren’t a lot of good places to come back to that are hard to spot.  Of the few options we discussed I chose the outer planet, but that’s a tricky jump…
She’s quiet for a bit.
“You know for a few seconds there I was thinking maybe we weren’t going to come out of jump at all…that maybe we’d missed the gravity well completely…”

    Half Egg

That seems adequate…
Unclear how long it will fool anyone that really knows what they’re looking at, but there can’t be too many people that fall into that category.

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

Lia listens to Jennie’s concerns and is a bit alarmed by the fear of not coming out of jump at all.

    “Is that even possible?”

If Lia is happy with the egg replica, she will act as though it’s the original and run identical tests on it, keeping records of all her findings. Once she’s conpleted these, she will document some theories that perhaps it’s a replica of something the owner had seen. Possibly Yarg related but unclear without further information. She will note that she doesn’t know if it was once whole and had been damaged or if the top part was never created – perhaps it had a lid and was a neat little container? Or perhaps this is all speculation and the item was simply an unusual trinket of some kind. This will all become part of her doctored reports.

The actual egg will be placed carefully in a compartment amongst her jewelery supplies.

That shouldn’t take her too long since she knows exactly what this egg is made of and can easily mimic the tests she ran previously.

During shift she can review the Spanial flight module.

After shift, she will take a look at all the jewelery from the ship. She wants to assess the quality, inspect any stones and figure out which pieces might need altering for resale.
