A-215: Spanial, Mostly Lia’s Cabin/Lab

Lia Day 43

Social

Lia shure is purdy… She can always speak to him again later as she discovers new things…or not.

He wanders over to the pile of stuff still in the Common Area and picks up the broken and blackened beam rifle that Karmen recovered from the Mess Area.  He examines it for a good couple of moments, stripping it on the table in front of her.  Inside it smells of burned circuitry.

He points to a switch on the side, “Power setting.  This is an electrolaser rifle with a lethal setting.” He points at some internal parts, “modified power cell.  Looks like it’s been upgraded for higher energy throughput.”   Kort says, “My guess would be to pump more power, make it more deadly.  Though it’s a bit of a mess in there; that,” he points to a blackened and melted square in the rifle’s innards, “could be an add-on controller of some sort, but I’m not sure.”  He doesn’t respond to her speculations as to why the rifle may have been modified.

Lia Day 44

What’s in the case?

I don’t know, can she?  Though remembering the scale of what she’s looking at, that’s a big power cell.

Is there any particular area of her expertise that she like to bring to the problem?  Or a particular hypothesis she’d like to explore?

The Ingots

Lia identifies the five ingots as Palladium, massing 100g each, making them worth roughly ʄ3000 per ingot.

Personal Projects and Social

I should think so; Rosaline has been missing her. She can do some work on the skyscape piece.

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“Have you ever seen modifications like this before?”

Regarding the scans, things that require power cells are not her area of expertise, so she’s just trying sort through the options. Not sure if there are any skills she has that might be applicable here. Her biggest concern is that it might be something organic but that doesn’t sit well with a power cell…

Has Lia ever seen or worked with Palladium before? Can she think of a use it might have had on their mission?

    Yay for hobbies!
