A-038: Spanial, Lia’s Cabin

Chemistry is closest under the circumstances I think.

Most of the pieces seem to have split along lines that seem to be natural joins in the substrate, although that’s not obvious from the metallic side.  However, one of the samples shows tearing that isn’t along such a natural weak point, and also shows signs of what could be exposure to heat or burning damage.

She will take notes of all these things, particularly anything she finds significant.

She will start running tests on both sections. Beginning with the mother of pearl looking section. She will attempt to take a scraping of the material with a normal cutting tool – how does that fare?
