9-165: Argyle’s Lodge, Combat Turn 3
Metagame | Narrative |
As Chris’ weapon does Huge Piercing (Pi++) damage, any damage that makes it past the Alpcow’s natural armour (Passive Defense [PD]) is doubled. The Alpcow’s PD=2. As there were two attacks, the PD protects twice for -4. Damage (29-4)x2 = 50. The Alpcow succeeds on its Death Roll for going past -ve HP. The Alpcow fails on its roll to remain conscious. | Chris lets go with three shots from his shotgun, two of which blow meaty holes in the side of the large animal. It staggers and collapses to the ground on its side, its irregular breath still visible in the cold air around its nose and mouth. |
Dicard suceeds on his roll to remain conscious. Dicard fails his roll to recover from being Stunnned. | Dicard stares stupidly at the beast next to him as it falls down. He turns toward Oliver and Chris, revealing the right side of his face, his right shoulder and chest are covered with blood and his clothes are ripped and torn. |
End of Turn 3 | |
The Alpcow is effectively out of the combat. | |
Oliver still has his Aim and can fire with its bonuses if he wishes. Otherwise, the combat will end. | What would Oliver like to do? |
A minor error, doesn’t affect the outcome but I thought I’d correct it to show how the rules should work.
Would administering first aid be counted as part of the combat?
