9-161: Argyle’s Lodge, Combat Turn 2

MetagameNarrative

Oliver has taken a Step further into the Common Room to clear the doorway for Chris.

The Alpcow is about 3m from Oliver and is a Size +1 creature; these Range (-1) and Size (+1) Modifiers cancel each other out for an attack modifier of zero.  [B550]

Oliver’s unaimed attack roll succeeds.

Because it took an All Out Attack, the Alpcow cannot take an Active Defense and the attack hits.

Oliver’s electrolaser does a linked attack of 1d6-3 Burn damage from the ionising laser and a linked electrical Stun Affliction attack.

This time Alpcow fails its HT roll from the affliction attack.

Incidentally (these are things Oliver’s mother would have ensured he knows):
  • Just holding a pistol in two hands gives an extra +1 to hit if you take an Aim maneuver [B364]
  • Oliver’s electrolaser has a ROF of 3 if Oliver wants to use the extra shots [UT120, B373]

Oliver’s pistol cracks and his shot hits the Alpcow.  It flinches and comes down off it’s hind legs.

Please roll 1d6-3 for Oliver’s Burn Damage.

Chris stops in the doorway and takes the Aim Action.

Seeing the target is stunned, Chris brings his shotgun up to his shoulder and takes a turn to Aim.

As he is Stunned from his injury, Dicard must take the Do Nothing action.

Dicard stands where he is, swaying slightly in place for a moment.

End of Turn 2

As it is Stunned from Oliver’s attack, the Alpcow must take the Do Nothing action.

The Alpcow stands where it is on all fours, twitching slightly with it’s head crooked at an odd angle.

Oliver’s turn.

What would he like to do?

  1. Oliver Starr says:

    4-3 is 1.

Seeing the target is stunned, Oliver will also take aim.
