Project#30
Before lunch on 211.392, Oliver completes his research into IT Project#30.
For this project, it appears that Argyle was again trying to break into some sort of storage device. It’s noted he successfully disarmed the physical security on the object, which was apparently an EMP device, before attacking it at a software level.
His summary report reads:
The files on the storage device provided have been decrypted as requested. Please note that this device included physical security measures that had not been disarmed as was claimed. Jump Exit
Later that Cycle he has to stay up late and go to Control as the ship exits jump at RR04 on 211.393.
Shortly after exiting jump Alan examines Oliver’s scan results, plots his course into Way station Argyropoulos, and stiffly announces an estimated travel time of 7 Cycles. He doesn’t seem happy, by which I mean even less happy than his usual level of unhappiness.
He sounds maneuvers, puts the ship on its course, and leaves Control for Dicard to take the scheduled watch.
Next
Would Oliver like to do anything immediately? During the next 7 Cycles while enroute to the Way Station?
No, there’s nothing immediate. He’s rather enthralled right now so he’s focussed on his work and perhaps forgetting his original goals.
