9-020: Maldemar 732, Oliver’s Cabin

Great; you earned your star.

[Happy GM dance]

He’s probably feeling pretty washed out NextCycle, but he did finish researching IT project #27 during his Red Shift post-nightmare insomnia.

Project #27 appears to be an attempt to write an encryption/decryption communication program in some sort of low-level language, suggesting it’s intended to be embedded directly into the firmware of some sort of device(s).  The work dates from late 209.

Roll Electronics Engineer for me please.

The ship is expected to be in jump for another four Cycles, then two to three Cycles to the Way Station.  You mentioned possible interactions with Fromm and the new crew member Ahbineet Downer.  Would you like Oliver to pursue those before reaching Argyropoulos?

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Okay, so from what I’m gathering here, looking at the Fatigue rules, Oliver loses 1FP from going to bed late.
He then doesn’t recover that because he only slept for 2 Hours and 15 minutes (using real time for rules talk).
So because he missed 5.75 hours of sleep he loses 1FP after 4.5hours of being awake. So once it hits GR04 he loses a fatigue point,
Then another at GG09, BR04, BG09, and RR04 if he stays awake.
Oliver has 11FP and will probably be down to 7 by the time he goes to bed, and if he can’t sleep well again he’ll probably be falling into the 1/3rd range the following day.

Also a fitting 14 on his Electronics Engineering.

Oliver might see how he goes over these next couple cycles before seeking out another interaction.
