8-346: Shipwreck Spar Section

In the Spar Section, Karmen is standing with her boots gripped back on the deck, now upside-down relative to where everyone was standing previously.

The spar is about 3.5m on a side, and from the looks of the mangled cross-section you are looking into a shaft that was once oriented as up/down.  Most of one corner of the cross-section is taken up by what looks to be an elevator shaft, given the elevator tracks along the walls.  The remainder looks like a ladder well and a large conduit for cabling and machinery.  Pipes and cables are dangling everywhere.  The elevator looks like a long empty corridor, the ladder well has landings, made of metallic mesh every 3m or so where the ladder swaps sides, the first  couple of these looking severely buckled.  There looks to be space in the machinery conduit, presumably for maintenance, but it is a tight fit, and rather tangled at the start.  The whole area near the entrance where the group is standing is somewhat clear, the interior presumably having been devastated when the Spar was broken and the structures described beginning a few metres in.  The interior is dark, lit only by Lia and her comrades’ suit lights and the periodic shifting starlight as the wreck spins past the angle toward the star.
