8-287: Merchant Freighter Spanial – Control

When Lia arrives in Control the first thing she may notice is the brown-orange coloured planet visible through the windows.  From this angle the day-night terminator is visible and lightning storms can be seen sparking across the night side.

Ipan is speaking, “…there’s a lot of radio interference coming off the planet from the storms, but I should still be able to pick up a response.”

Kort says, “broadcast it again.”

Ipan looks to Karmen, who nods, and he touches his controls, “broadcasting.”

There is silence, everyone is watching Ipan.

“Nothing.”

Karmen says, “start the sensors sweeping.  Jennie, can you vary our orbital period so we can catch something that might currently be on far side.”
