Mundo Zargo
Mundo Zargo is a Garden World, a Colony A class.
Outside the controlled habitats, Mundo Zargo has a very thin but breathable atmosphere (humans can survive on the surface with only a compressor/respirator). The planet has a somewhat eccentric orbit and average surface temperatures fluctuate between -40°C in the winter to +45°C in the summer, in addition to local effects, ie: winter at the poles can get a lot colder and summer at the equator, a lot hotter. Currently the planet is in a pleasantly warm phase (average +22°C) and getting warmer. The Downport is near the equator (so probably hotter) and the Grasslands Agricultural Estate somewhat to the North (probably about average). Gravity outside is 0.6G.
The air pressure outside is about what you get at the top of Mt Everest so most buildings on this planet are actually sealed, or at least kept at overpressure by constantly pumping in air.
As a garden world with a developed and human-habitable biosphere, Mundo Zargo is a major agricultural centre. There are a number of large farms that leverage this – one being the Grasslands Agricultural Estate on the far side of the planet from the Downport.
Highport
Mundo Zargo highport is a Class 3 facility – basic but not primitive. The lower part (and there is a lower part, as the grav plates are oriented the same way for a consistent ‘down’ on the station) is mainly devoted to civilian traffic and operations and the upper part to official use (ie Dominion government and military stuff).
Downport
Notable locations include an infamous bar near the cargo docks,The General Landmark.
Capital City
The capital, Tropica City, has been built about 200km from the Downport – though much activity takes place at the port itself.
Crystal Coast
About 150km from Tropica City and 350km from the Downport, Crystal Coast is a popular seaside recreational and tourist destination.
Grasslands Agricultural Estate
A large farm on the far side of the planet from the Downport, run by the Agriculture Bureau. There is a nearby settlement.
