8-166: Merchant Freighter Spanial – Common Room

Kwint says, “well, the basics are that the Mer who sold it to us demonstrated that the engines ran by starting them manually and it’s sat in the hold ever since.  Gregar’s got it to a point where we think it’s back to it’s default factory condition, but no-one on this ship has ever actually flown it; that’s why we wanted the manual.”

Gregar adds, “If you can scan that manual into electronic files we can incorporate it into Spanial’s help database, and into the Hopper itself.”

Kwint follows, “So, whoever has to fly it,” he indicates himself, Jennie and Lia herself, “doesn’t have to fly-by-guesswork.”

Jennie says, “Karmen can fly too.”

Kwint doesn’t speak, just responds with a look that Lia interprets as some variation on, ‘It’ll be a cold day in the afterlife’.

Jennie says, “once the manual’s ready, I suggest we all take a look at it and meet to discuss how to move forwards.  That should include either you or Prrri, Gregar.”

Gregar says, “I’ll probably need to do the upload into the Hopper’s computer system, Prrri will do the rest.”

Lia raises her eyebrows when she hears that Karmen can fly.
