Her reverie enjoying the elements is interrupted by a slightly grumpy Hybridyne crew member, “Keep moving. There’s an observation deck in the city for gawking.”
Kwint, stopped beside her, mutters, “I suppose it’d be too much to have a great view and great service.”
A sign ahead warns that Gravport is a Zero-G environment. Further, people must remain attached to the blue or green surfaces unless in a designated free-fall area.
Another sign indicates that she should place the Gecko Overshoes supplied for the trip into a bin ahead. Next to that bin is a complimentary vending machine supplied by the city that appears to dispense identical shoes for use beyond the airdock. Many of her fellow passengers are making the swap. Others, like Kwint, with Gecko Soles already built into their footwear are proceeding along the blue-floored entrance walkway.
Ten metres further along, some entrepreneurial soul has opened a shoe shop.
A bored looking Legionnaire is standing sideways on a red-surfaced wall watching the passengers disembark.
Lia will look from the machine to the shoe shop and head for the shop.
