7-317: Planning Bureau HQ – Executive Dining Room

Hulm-Nelson leads Oliver and Fromm from his office to a bank of elevators, rising several floors to a large dining and conference area.  They are shown to a booth by a window by a liveried waiter, who directs them to a menu displayed on the table’s terminal and brings a jug of water to the table.

The Undercrat says, “the Planning Bureau is hosting our Vizierate colleagues today,” and the waiter nods in response.

He continues to Oliver and Fromm, “the fish of the day is usually very good, and the wine selection is excellent.”

Taking his own advice he keys in the fish and orders a white wine.

Fromm says, “a good choice.  However, I feel like a sparkling for starters.”

The next several moments are a spirited discussion about the wine list, the pros and cons of sparkling wines as a starter, and particularly good selections to go with the fish of the day.

Oliver can order, listen, interrupt or any number of things…

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Oliver will go with the fish and grab a sparkling, listening on the conversation and picking accordingly. (If there’s something sparkling but sweet that is mentioned he will go for it. He’s probably not well versed in alcohol but sees its social advantages).

If there’s a break in the conversation, or the Undercrat brings it up, Oliver will start the conversation onto work. “Dicard seems fine with the outside assistance, have you discovered any more about Abbas?”
