7-145: Illuminator – Briefing Room 1201
Lunch
No worries. Erin seems to like Oliver, and enjoy her time with him.
Presentation
Dicard says, “It is quite the question, isn’t it? Are we dealing with a lone genius, or some sort of conspiracy?”
Oliver can respond if he wishes, and after some or no conversation, Nanny will say, “Oliver’s report is a useful segue into the second part of our meeting: What we will be doing on Zargonia.”
Plans for Future Illumination
Nanny continues, “Based on our current trajectory, the Illuminator is expected to dock at Zebulon station NextCycle at GR04. We will disembark from the Illuminator with all our project gear and take a Vizierate shuttle to the surface of Zargonia. We will will be based briefly in Purpleton, at the foot of the Vizierate Tower.
“There are a number of things to do on Zargonia, dears. I shan’t be staying with you long, as I have other portfolio business to conduct inside the Tower. Vizier Richard will be very much leading the project from Purpleton onwards.”
She smiles in an grandmotherly fashion at him.
Dicard takes the opportunity to cut in, “When we get to Purpleton I will have to organise the logistics for our next project stage, so I will have limited ability to join in the investigations on Zargonia. I will be asking the Under Commander and Erin to assist me with those logistics.”
He turns to glare Dicardly at Oliver, “Oliver, as you have had the best chance to get into Argyle’s head, I’d like you to lead the main investigation on Zargonia.”
Nanny smoothly takes back control of the briefing, “Our primary lead is to talk to a man named Alec Bronze-Stepping. His name came up as a result of our enquiries into Argyle while you were returning from Pristine. We think he may have worked with Argyle in some capacity while he was at The Black Palace. We have an address for him in a place called Snow Lake.
“Secondary lines of investigation are the Planning Bureau and MAPACOA. As Oliver suggested we can also attempt to find information on the associates of Argyle that Oliver’s work has revealed.”
“Any initial comments or thoughts, dears?”
At that point, pretty much everyone in the room turns and looks at Oliver.
Oliver looks around as the eyes start to penetrate his mind.
He was very leaderish in the last operation but he hasn’t been a leader since…
(Just rolled a 9 for his nightmares, unless that was included in the recent block of 3. So it’s not bothering him too much).
Half a second to clear his head.
“Do we know if this Alec also plans to send automatic defence turrets to greet us? What’s my boundaries for getting assistance from the rest of the available crew?”
He will eye Fromm especially, since Uddin being on ground duty is 95% of his job.
