7-053: Illuminator – Bar Chill

Fromm gives Oliver a slightly disapproving look, “I am, of course, loyal to the Legion as are all good Dominion citizens, particularly those of us who have served.”

He takes a penultimate mouthful of his near-empty glass.

“Prosperity, protection and victory…

However, I sense your question is intended with more nuance, no matter how bluntly phrased.  I mostly enjoyed my service.  I had long completed my mandatory minimum term when…complications…caused me to request discharge.”

He swirls the liquid in the bottom, his mind no longer at the table with Oliver, but back in his past.

After several seconds he comes back to himself and finishes the glass, “I don’t suppose there’s anything else you’d like to talk about?  That was rather good.”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

“Well that’s good to know…” Oliver’s mind is also elsewhere, he’s got several ideas now.

He gives a little smile, perhaps a bit nervous about his comment on getting another wine.
“I’ll get you another if something comes up. But I have lots to do, especially after our chat.”
When appropriate, Oliver will get up to leave, give Fromm a polite goodbye, grab a take-away breakfast jf he hasn’t eaten and head back to his office. (If i remember he just woke up and has his work shift coming next.)
He wants to message Dicard and ask if he knows if the files are backed up somewhere or if these are the only copy. “I’ve got an idea for a method that would accelerate my data collection but could damage the files.” Is his excuse for asking.
After that he’ll get into his work if there’s nothing else to do. He’ll do his shift and a half of work now then take some recreation time during green to work on his inventions for other things.

Incidently, is smoking a thing in the Dominion?
Would it be suspect to have a portable combustion device on hand?
If you shot something combustible with an electrolazer would it ignite?
I’m talking more paper and wood as opposed to gas and petrollium based substances.
