H-345: Little Isle Manor House, Parlour

Raina’s eyes follow the movement of Lia’s feet.

“Well, tip-for-tap, and you asked about my parents instead, but you can owe me one.”

She pauses to top up her glass, extends the moment by pausing to stare into space briefly, reflecting.

“Zargonia was a culture shock for me.  I had no idea that life could be so comfortable, and so rewarding if you just have the space, make the space, to breathe and learn.  I felt that I had a great opportunity and I never wasted a moment.  So, then my well-spent youth very sensibly dropped out of the Academy path and went to Aaran’s Pride and took up Higher Ed path instead.”
