The piece is an elongated spheroid, approximately 3cm on the long axis. It is intended to be displayed, not worn, and is mounted on a base of real lacquered dark wood, there looks to be a small, dim light mounted within the wood beneath the piece that makes it glow, as if from within. The exterior has been polished smooth, better to see inside. Within is a small creature, perhaps 1cm long, vaguely lizard-like and slightly misshapen from being trapped and the passage of time, its bulbous eye structures seeming to look out of its golden prison.
