Difficult to read re intention – there is a sense of being in earnest; Raina’s manner, if it showed anything, was concern that she should not feel as if she is being blown off.
Raina responds, “perhaps like this, or maybe something more… intimate.”
She pauses, assessing again, “which would you prefer?”
“I…”
She looks very slightly ruffled. Cinna will probably note that this is out of character.
“I’m afraid intimate is out of the question.”
