6-007: Merchant Freighter Spanial – Habitat Ring Corridor
Ipan yawns, “Yeah. Rack time for me.”
Jennie says, “…and exercise time for me. I’m just going to change.”
Ipan is the Comm/Scan Officer, and Captain Karmen’s son. He is slim and slightly gangly with a long face, still growing. He has his mother’s blonde hair and blue eyes. Lia has learned that he only turned 7 shortly before Lia arrived aboard and has not been here much longer than she has, being in school before that. Ipan doesn’t seem especially mature for his age and Lia has seen several flashes of surly teenage boy, often resulting in a clash with his mother.
Jennie is the Pilot and Navigator. She is a small, energetic, pretty woman with light brown hair about the same age as Lia. She is friendly but also maintains a professional reserve with everyone. With only six in the crew the Spanial tends to run pretty informally, but in terms of the ship’s actual command structure, Jennie is second-in-charge.
