I-159-Oliver: Spanial (Hyperspace to Captree)

Oliver’s trip to Captree

211.469

Spanial departs Roseman Downport very late in Blue Shift.

211.470

Spanial enters hyperspace late in Green Shift.

Oliver spends Green Shift catching up on his extra reading from Argyle’s IT Project #6 (Argyle’s Library of various Electronics and Computing Resources).

In Blue Shift he works on his EMP Grenade.

Oliver’s bikeday.

Oliver spends Green Shift catching up on his extra reading from Argyle’s IT Project #06.

In Blue Shift he is met with an unexpected celebration in the Common Area and finds himself richer as a result of his work with Karmen on the Money card reader.  Later, he works on his EMP Grenade.

Early in Green Shift, Oliver completes his extra research into Argyle’s IT Project #06.

Per I-028-Oliver, you can now spend a one-off +4 bonus (or 4 x +1 bonuses, etc) on some relevant (ie related it mathematics, cryptography, electrical engineering, computing etc.) future task.

If he wishes, Oliver can then move on to IT Project #11 –  Software installer for several versions of Chip Emulator Software, which, given he’s already researched a similar project, he can knock off by the end of the cycle as it’s really just checking for anomalies or anything new, which he does not find.

In Blue Shift he works on his EMP Grenade.

211.475

Oliver is ready to commence a new Argyle project.  In numerical order (#16), the next one is Argyle’s library of pornography, but I believe Oliver said he would leave that until last.  So, the next one on his list is IT Project #19 – Bundle of software installers for various small utility programs.

Let me know if Oliver would like to change sequence or how he spends his time.

I imagine this one could pique his curious nerd nature, so give me a Curiosity control roll to see if Oliver can avoid spending extra time playing with Argyle’s utility software toys.

In Blue Shift he works on his EMP Grenade.

211.476

In Green Shift, depending on the result of his Control roll, it’s either time to move on to the next Argyle project (#21), or Oliver is still messing about with Project #19.

When it is time to move on, #Project 21 is Argyle’s library of various Cryptanalysis Research papers and Books.  Would he like to deep-dive that or just skim it for now?

In Blue Shift he works on his EMP Grenade.

At that start of Green Shift, Spanial comes out of hyperspace in the Captree system.

Ipan connects the ship to the comms net.

Would Oliver like to check his messages?

Meanwhile…

Oliver departed Pristine on 211.419, leaving Dicard to recover and he and Fromm to follow-up the Icehart’s Brokerage lead.  They have presumably been doing things in the interim…

How would you like to give me a couple of rolls to see how Dicard’s investigation has gone?

  1. Oliver Starr says:

11 on control. I think he will take the deeper dive.

    13, 7 and 14 for Dicard.

Yeah, he’d like to check messages and his LDA
