I-112-Oliver: Spanial, Karmen’s Cabin (N-Space to Captree Jump Point)

Favours

Karmen closes her eyes briefly in resignation, realising she has, indeed, said too much.

“People at Iceheart’s did me a favour a while back, bought a cargo I was havin’ some difficulty sellin’.  They called it in, asked me to take Argyle over the border alone, not much profit in a single passage for the risk, but they threw in the 50k as a sweetener so I said alright.”

Negotiation

That doesn’t sound very Miserly?

Please make a Control Roll or justify why Oliver shouldn’t have to.

  1. Oliver Starr says:

“Makes sense. I already knew the interest they had in Argyle, if that makes you feel any better.” He pauses for a moment. “In fact, I’m probably the reason your services got called in.”

    Miserly
Fair enough, I suppose. I, for some reason, have this notion that Oliver doesn’t expect his money to have much value across the border even though we’ve talked about it. He’s still negotiating for the higher payrate in a sense but I can see why he would want to wait to pay after the booking was made. I suppose he was trying to establish a future safety net but I didn’t take his disadvantages into account.
