Oliver’s Skill GURPSing

So, on Oliver’s character sheet lockpicking is two skills Lockpicking (Analog) and Lockpicking (Digital).

In the rules, Lockpicking is a single skill. 

It looks like Oliver has been set up with two optional skill specialisations that mean they can both be advanced separately as Easy skills instead of Average skills.  I don’t remember having that conversation, but it was nearly a decade ago now…

It’s probably easier if Lia just goes with the regular Lockpicking skill.

   

Time Requirement

I think if Oliver basically gives Lia a three-day training course, she can then use an XP point to get the skill – everyone OK with that?

So that would be 3 x 8 = 24 hours = 1 Cycle of training.

 

However, there’s an opportunity cost to spending this time, and I don’t think it’s reasonable of me to dictate what the characters should give up.  So, below is a comparison of Oliver’s and Lia’s schedules.  When would you like to make the time?

    I’m happy to give up Argyle research and EMP grenade time if need be.

    Works for me. Lia will switch faceting the emerald into the perfume tinkering time late in Blue instead.
