I-028-Oliver: Spanial (Hyperspace to Roseman)

Metagame

There’s a bunch of stuff happening here at different times over the journey from Mundo Zargo to Roseman (ETA 211.464 out of hyperspace, then estimated 3-4 Cycles to the planet).  I don’t think anything is likely to impact anything else, but we may need to retcon if it does.  Let me know if you’d rather deal with things in a more sequential fashion.

For Noting

Oliver’s BirthCycle is 211.471.

EMP Grenade [211.458]

Oliver’s subconscious has obviously been working on the problem.  He finalises the concept for the EMP grenade not long after he returns to his cabin after the meeting (Blue Shift on 211.458).  He can now move on to building his prototype if you wish, or turn his attention to other projects.

What would you like to do?

Jennie [211.459]

Unless he goes looking, Oliver will next encounter Jennie in the Common Room at his breakfast as she’s just coming off her work shift.  She’s wearing her exercise gear and looks to be about to unfold some of the gym equipment.

In response to Oliver’s query she replies, “I was just coming to chat, but you seemed in a hurry to be away.

“Though, there is something I want to ask you about.”

Money Card Reader [211.462]

He can go and see Karmen as early as GG01 on 211.462, if he wishes.  She’s in her cabin, looks like she’s playing with the Dominion equivalent of a spreadsheet.

Argyle Research

I have updated the Argyle Data Blob Summary Page to reflect the outcome of Projects#03 and #06.

Project #03 – Chip Emulator [211.463]

The chip emulator software installer didn’t tell him much, but it may be useful background work in helping him if he ever gets his hands on Argyle’s actual chip emulator (which Commissar Usher apparently has.)  He will complete this work on 211.463.

Project#06 – Library of various Electronics and Computing Resources [211.465]

He doesn’t have to get lost in Argyle’s technical library if he chooses not to, but he might wish to.  That said, in short order he has committed the full catalogue and precis of Argyle’s considerable library to his excellent memory.  This will allow him up to a +4 bonus (or 4 x +1 bonuses, etc) on some relevant future task if he spends the time to go and read the relevant material carefully.

Project#11 – Software installer for several versions of Chip Emulator Software [211.465]

This is the next project on his list, which he can probably knock off quickly having done Project#03, yes?

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Grenade – Oliver would like to try making a prototype

Jennie – “Had things to do, what’s on your mind?”

Card Reader – Oliver knocks or buzzes, whichever is appropriate. “Captain. Got a minute?”

Project 11 – Makes sense to me, but I feel Oliver would deep dive into the technical library.
