5-095: Legion Cast – Statue Boss Corridor

OK, as discussed, he’s being cautious checking for traps or sensors on the door and then for threats in the room beyond.

As he opens the door just a crack (it’s a sliding door), he spots that there is an infrared optical circuit on the other side, about a metre off the ground (ie if he blocks the path of the infrared beam as he passes through the door he will break the circuit.)  It helped that he had the brief image of this door in his mind from the camera shot.

It’s unclear what the effect of breaking the circuit might be.

Thought the door Oliver can see orderly stacks of boxes to about chest height, there are less-well ordered stacks beyond.

There are no obvious threats in the room that he can see at this point, although so far his vision is limited.

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Is the infrared a pinpoint or is it a wide beam? Primarily: is it possible to duck under/step over it?

If so, he will, duck under it. He then will stop himself and notice that stealth or operations was never part of the command. It was simply ‘get the statue.’ He’ll walk through the room casually, but quietly with the torch. He’s now wondering if this is a test of abilities or if it’s a test to not overcomplicate things. He’ll see if there’s another door out of this room then he’ll work through the orderly boxes.
