  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“So. I managed to find company for breakfast.”

  2. Oliver Starr says:

    “Oh? Good company?”

  3. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“Unexpected but productive, I hope. I managed to plant some seeds that might bear fruit. Hard to tell at this stage. Definitely caught the attention of our big watchdog but that was unavoidable. I do wish we had more time.”

  4. Oliver Starr says:

“The time constraint has put a dampner on some ideas, I fear we won’t be able to accomplish our mission”

  5. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“It’s possible. Certainly it’s difficult to prove any degree of success if we should have any.”

    She sips her drink.

    “How goes your task?”

  6. Oliver Starr says:

“My task has been interesting, but he seems to not have left any hints in his messages.”

  7. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    She sighs.

“It’s difficult to know exactly how far to push, without risking our skins. This is a challenging assignment.”

  8. Oliver Starr says:

‘Indeed. We may need to be less subtle.’

  9. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    “Feel free to elaborate…”

  10. Oliver Starr says:

“We know the envoy is sneaking around about something. Maybe we can use that to get a direct answer.”

  11. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“You’re suggesting we use direct pressure?”

  12. Oliver Starr says:

“Granted the time restriction I’m thinking it might be our only option.”

  13. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“Interesting. Mind you, without knowing what the exchange was about, we don’t have anything with which to apply pressure other than my word.”

  14. Oliver Starr says:

Oliver ponders a moment and finishes his drink. “Do you think you could bluff it?”

  15. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    Lia’s turn to ponder.

“I could try but if I fail, we will have blown our only shot. Right now, he’s in a frame of mind to help me and if a little more pressure is applied, it might be enough to smear a certain person just enough to drop them off the list. For that, I may need the help of that person to really make it stick.”

  16. Oliver Starr says:

“Well if we have that angle, what can I do to help?”

  17. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“Can you think of a way we could get evidence of the choices he’s making? Some way of getting him to record them in writing or… something?”

    • Oliver Starr says:

“In writing? Not unless he needed to. He seems to be too careful about it. We’d need to record him saying something I think.”

  18. If you wish, either or both of you may roll Research or IQ.

  19. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    9 vs 13 for IQ

  20. Oliver Starr says:

    7 vs 14
